This incredibly exciting weekend of Tang Soo Do competition, education and camaraderie will be held at theStamford Marriott Hotel & Spa, 243 Tresser Boulevard, Stamford, Connecticut 06901. Why not plan your East Coast vacation around this year’s nationals. There is no shortage of things to do as Stamford is centrally located between New York City, the CT Casinos and Boston, MA. There are also many culturally and socially enjoyable local activities that you and your family can participate in. For example, there is the Capitol Theater located only 15 minutes away in Port Chester, New York where Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will be playing on Thursday evening. For our shop-a-holics there is the Stamford Town Center, considered by many to be a shoppers utopia. There are a variety of live syndicate tabloid talk shows located right in Stamford, ie., The Maury Show, The Trisha Show and the Steve Wilkos Show...tickets are free. There is the famous “Alive at Five” Beer Garden and Concert 5 Block Party. Dining in Stamford is top notch as there are a plethora of ethnic eateries to satisfy even the most particular of appetites.

 

For those who want to go to New York City...there is the Dave Letterman Late Show, Saturday Night Live or the many shows on Broadway to delight the culturally curious. After the tournament...tours can be arranged for New York City either by bus, boat or by helicopter or you can simply take the train and walk around New York City at your own leisure visiting all the historical sites of New York, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, Battery Park, The Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, “China Town” and finish the night by having dinner at one of the famous restaurants in “Little Italy.

 

You will not want to miss the exciting educational and informative clinics that will be held on Thursday, afternoon. For competitors there will be no additional registration fees to participate in these “can’t afford to miss” clinics. For non-competing clinic participants the fee will be $25.00.
